Hi-Temp Welding Gloves (Taurus Gauntlet) are designed for welding, smelters, foundries and other high heat work. Made from cowgrain leather with a beautiful gold finish, and with a long 15cm split leather cuff, these gloves can withstand high levels of heat. Cowgrain leather comes from the outer layer of the cow’s hide and is known for durability, flexibility, and a smooth, uniform finish and appearance. This kind of leather is frequently used in gloves for high heat work as it has been found to be robust under rough conditions.
The inside back elastic is zig zag sewn, contouring the glove nicely to the shape of your hand and providing additional reinforcement. Stitching is done with Kevlar, which allows the glove to achieve a level of resistance to abrasion, cut, tear and puncture. Under EN407 standards this glove has achieved resistance to flammability, contact heat resistance, convective heat resistance and resistance to molten metal.
